CARAVAN OF LOVE: LA MUSICA SENZA NOTE
L’importanza di un’artista sta nella sua originalità. Su quello che ha saputo trasmettere e offrire all’arte.
Come Giotto, il quale ha introdotto l’antico surrealismo, Tiziano che ha introdotto la sensualità femminile, come Peter Paul Rubens che ha dipinto la forza e il movimento, Picasso che ha introdotto il cubismo, Renè Magritte che ha introdotto un surrealismo quasi ironico e divertente.
L’arte è un linguaggio con cui l’artista parla e trasmette emozioni. Questo messaggio può essere sia pittura, scultura e musica. Per la musica è il caso di parlare di “Caravan of Love” di "The Housemartin". Una canzone senza note. Caravan of Love è un brano musicale, scritto su principi di cristianesimo, registrato nel 1985 dagli Isley.Jasper-Ispey.
Ma lo stesso testo, nell’anno successivo, è stato registrato da The Housemartins, seguito da un immediato successo internazionale. La loro genialità consisteva nel non usare assolutamente nessun accompagnamento musicale. Nessuna Musica, solo voce.
Un arrangiamento vocale che non fa mancare assolutamente la presenza delle note musicali. Una musica talmente completa che bisogna fare molta attenzione per accorgersene della mancanza totale di strumenti musicali.
Housemartins con un’ influenza della musica di chiesa ha fatto qualcosa di nuovo nella panoramica di musica pop.
